A standard price list of components and cap relief for like for like components that need to be replaced due to crashes (Period) I considered "crashes when the driver is not at fault", but that's another can of worms that is probably best avoided.

This should be a pretty easy thing to do in F1.

Towing provided. Body shop on-site. Mechanics and technicians on-site. Physicians on-site. Hospital services provided. Airlifting from the crash site to higher tier facilities available.

With all those services provided, I'm guessing the premium will be about $1,200 to $1,500 per year.

I'm guessing Allianz, Lloyds, State Farm or Progressive can be talked into this. Where is Bernie when we need him?!?!!

About the only rule that I can see working is a penalty pass if a teams engine is damaged in an accident involving a competitor...not sure if fault should be a part of it,
Perhaps also a supplementary fund allowance to the cost cap for accident repairs in such a case.

Don't know why Todt hasn't pushed this in, even Stewart is saying more practical things take a long time to happen in F1.

It's the same with Red Bull Racing,just far far more expensive as bot/merc get off with virtually nothing with cheap repair and RB have one new chassis replace and TWO engines and a gearbox from bot and ham strikes.
FIA is dragging it's feet and still living in the past. It has the 'race for road safety' insignia yet road safety depends on insurance also. Todt knows well you can't drive a vehicle without insurance doesn't he or does he get chauffeured everywhere?
