Android auto is not possible on Entrynav 2 unless you install an MMI plug-in box or a plug-in smart screen which is maybe what you bought? ( maybe not, you do not tell us).

But....again... for information............. Any new screen/display you try to fit MUST be compatible with your car HU (ENTRYNAV2 which is not NBTevo). and your car HU may need to be coded to new screen resolution unless it has not changed. For information....The resolution for your old BMW screen is 1280x480 . I have no idea what the resolution of your new screen is, you do not say ....... but.......if your new screen has a different resolution it will not display iDrive until you “code” correct resolution. It will just display the android content.

I do not know why the device you bought does not work , it could be
1) you bought wrong screen for Entrynav 2 HU
2, you have not set correct resolution for new screen
3) both of above, or
4) the device you bought is faulty.

The best and easiest thing to do now, in correct order is .....
what is resolution of android tablet screen ? If 1280x480 then o.K — go to next step, if not 1280x480 then you must change resolution in your car HU(you will need tool like Bimmercode for this).
next step... has this fixed problem? - if yes - good you can stop, if problem not fixed then next step...
check with suppler or check description of what you bought, if it says for NBTevo, then it will probably not work (saying it will work for X1/F48 is not enough because F48 in Russia/Japan/China/Taiwan with prof navigation have NBT evo but F48 in Italy always has Entrynav). If you bought wrong screen then return, no one on this forum can help. If correct screen for car then it may be faulty or incorrectly fitted, so check fitting and/or return.

No worries, people often confuse Android Auto with an Android tablet packed in a BMW-CID-look-a-like screen.

Since I installed a MMI box in my F48 couple of weeks ago I thought I could help if you installed the same box, but since you installed the android tablet version, sorry but I can't be of much help... BUT I believe that iceman7 installed such a screen or helped other people with the installation. So, maybe he could help you out with this issue.

ok thanks a lot friend..then my aftermarket monitor has 1920 * 720 resolution. my hu is Entrynav2 with id6. I tried to change the resolution with bimmercode but nothing changes. The seller however tells me that for the resolution there is a setting in the monitor that simulates the original by choosing the right resolution. I have tried all possibilities but still No Signal. It is already the second car stereo that I should replace ..

These 1920 screens are quite new and I really don't know how they handle the idrive part since there is no such resolution in any idrive option

Sorry, If you changed resolution with Bimmercode and still have “no signal” message then I think you probably have incompatible android screen for Entrynav2 HU. CID used in 3,5 and 7 series (incl X3 and X5) BMW with “higher NBTevo HU” use 1920x720 resolution.

Thank you - very helpful, I wasn’t sure if newer versions of X1 (iDrive software) had more resolution options, especially for 10.25” screens. I could not see 1920x 720 listed so maybe that is what he meant by “nothing changes”.
1920 x 720 resolutio is certainly used In ID6 NBTevo HU found in some other BMW series.

I get upset that so many people are wasting their time and money because of confusion or misleading descriptions, I wish they would ask before buying. I suspect that the android internal software can simulate various resolution qbut the device is for an NBT evo HU so will never display the iDrive content in Entrynav 2.

you can measure from corner to corner.

also - this is the 8.8 screen below (just for reference) - if yours doesn't look like this, then you got the 6.5.
