Just got the 2000 mile warning for the front brake pads.

I'd like some suggestion on some good ceramic pads(OEMs seem to wear out EXTREMELY fast), with international shipping.

If you're within the manufacturers warranty period, probably best to stick with BMW original pads to retain the warranty. In the UK you aren't obliged to have them fitted by the dealer and I had mine replaced by an independent last week after the warning came on for fronts at 30K miles. Actually decided to have front and rears replaced together because, whilst the rear warning hadn't shown, a visual inspection showed them to be very low, so bit the bullet. BMW pads and wear sensors fitted by an independent, who we've used for our previous cars, saved me £180 compared to dealer quote. Wear sensors must be replaced along with pads, but these are only fitted to front left and rear right wheels.
If you go for a 3rd party manufacturer there's a wide range of pads/sensors available but best to stick with a name you know. I haven't investigated ceramic pads, so cannot comment on that.

I don't know where the original poster is located, but there is no problem in the US using aftermarket pads and retaining warranty.

I've used Akebono ceramic pads in the past and like them quite a bit--low dust, good wear, reasonable bite and good fitment.

I haven't done the X1 yet, but that's what I'll use when it's time.
