LOL hahaha, this looks similar to the ones I got when I had my Euro Frontplate on. My father was right, he said, I bet you won't get a ticket for the lack of frontplate while you are driving, but when you are parked. Get ready to get fucked!

The meter maids do that frequently in SF when they don't have any meters to monitor or when street cleaning is complete.

both display numbers on a plate, right?
in singapore, people get screwed when they apply licence stickers on the front end eg mazda mx-5, evo 8/ 9.

Well I am in new york, and it is a vehicle requirement to have both front and back license plates on at all times. If the front is missing and the back is on or, the back is missing and the front is on, that is considered a violation. So on the front of my E90 I had the europlate front Germany and on the rear, the new york on. I was at best buy and the ticket was on my front windshield when I got back from buying my dvd.

The first picture is my New York State plate, second is the europlate.

dude same thing happened to me, i just got the car for 2 weeks and the ticket came not because of the parking meter but because i had no front plates on. their sole unworthy job is to monitor meters thats all, not givin tickets to cars without front plates

I know they're meter people but don't they have better uses for their time like helping bust drug dealers or child molesters or something. No front license plates, now that's a major criminal enterprise right there.

The state of Georgia sucks in many ways, but one thing that is nice is the state does not require any front plates. In fact, I hear Georgia is financially strapped and in order to save money, they make only one plate. Good luck fighting stupid tickets. Stupid tickets suck.:mad:

the euro plates display the numbers more prominently than the US plates. guess, the meter people are way out of their league. what does the US land transport authority say.?what are their guidelines on plates? size of plate, letters etc

The states makes their own laws around plates and their lettering, display, etc. There are no "national" laws for license plates.

All of these major cities are losing HUNDREDS of dollars when their red light cameras can't accuse a violator with no front plates. I feel safe knowing that my city's officials are capturing the real criminals!

that is really a gray area. so if u drive out of your own state to another state with different plate laws, u get screwed.

THe front plate thing has been around since the begining of time. Before fixed cameras.

While it sucks, there are laws. You get two plates to put on your car.

Don't do it, then pay the money and quit whining!

Yeah, it kills the look and it sucks!

Meter maids are not cops. Their job is to find assholes who don't put money in the meters and think their cars and them are better than everyone else and don't have to comply! They have no power until you give it to them.

There are reasons why people scratch up BMW's, ever stop to think about that? Its a hiddious thing to do, "but I understand"!
