Disable tailgate opening from keyfob?

3 times in the last week I must have pressed the fob by accident and opened the tailgate. Fortunately neighbours saw it and 1 closed it at 3am when returning from work and 1 knocked on the door. Is there a way to disable the option on the keypad?

Reading the manual, it doesn't seem that you can "disable" the button. And, to be honest, I think it's a good feature.

What if you buy a key case? I have attached a pic of what I use (BMW code 82292344033).

It can probably be coded out in BDC_BODY ECU There is this value
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_3RD_BUTTON_MID -> 00

00 = no action
01 = preparing functionality (Loading function)
02 = Bootlid opening [Default]
03 = panic alarm
04 = FMH
05 = opening rear screen
06 = opening front lid (reserved)

Theres entry for short, medium and long press. Never tried changing it but I am quite confident this is what you looking for

Ditto above...if you have the Bimmercode app...there are multiple tailgate closing delay selections (up to 10 seconds)...plus other options for the tailgate.

Bimmercode app's Tailgate coding parameters for the F48 X1:
