Exclamation Where is heating control valve located? X1 F48 2016

Hi huys,

I have a X1 F48 2016. I am having a problem when I put ON the heating, it comes out hot on the passenger side but it comes out cold on the driver's side. Of all the times I have tried (15 times, 2 of them worked well, that is, hot air has come out on the pilot and co-pilot).

The A/C works fine, I am only having this issue when I turn on the heating.

I have read that this is usually due to the heating control valve, it may be blocked or broken, I don't mind checking it myself but I can't find any video or tutorial that indicates where this valve is.

Does anyone know where it is?

I have found this parts but I don't know which is the heating control valve https://www.bmwautoparts.net/en/cata...45/L/0/2016/11

All the best

I have sent you by email the location of blend flap/actuator. The flap itself is inside the “box” which houses heating ducting , sensor and flaps. To access the top of the heating/Aircon “box” where temperature sensor is located, you will need to remove head unit in centre consol (in other words the panel with radio and heating controls.

I also have the same issue, but the car warms up after it is turned off for about 10 mins. if possible could you send me the location of the flap. Does any one know where the heating control valve is located?

You will have to PM me because I had to send diagrams via email. They can be found in BMW official workshop manuals , pdf copies are available on eBay etc.
