Wireless Charging
So the only thing about my 18 BMW X1 is it doesn't have wireless charging. I saw that on the 21 X1 you could add it for $500. So I'm not sure if this is the right part that can be potentially retrofitted and if anyone has tried to.

My UK 2020 LCI 2.0i M Sport has wireless charging, but I have found that it is only useful if you have a smaller size phone due to the size of the oblong holder. My Samsung S10+ is just a little too long to fit in the slot. Accordingly, I would suggest the standard size Samsung 10 would be fine. I have not tried any other phone in the holder.

There's also a nice unit that fits in the front of the console in front of the drink holders but I don't have the link at hand. |

How does this work when part of it is spring-loaded to keep the phone in place? Also, it appears it is at the largest it can go to. Remember this is the latest incarnation of the insert for the phone. Additionally, there is a USB C lightning connector in this centre armrest that I have used for rapid charging. It is very quick. Is this for the newer style with sliding covers.

https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...0&postcount=24 The bracket replacement allows for a larger phone because it changes the endpoint and in theory can make an even longer bracket you mean "the older style with the sliding covers" Starting in 2019 for US models they added the USB port and removed the covers, obviously not all regions have the same issue. Here's the other option, it comes both with and without USB https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002094175373.html |

Every franchise be it BMW US, BMW UK or other parts of the world have their own basic vehicle, so it appears your franchise has omitted it from the specifications for whatever reason. In the centre armrest, we have the USB Type C (lightning). The passenger console also has two. All 3 of these are far faster than wireless, so no point in going wireless for us.

I used the 3D extender and have been very happy with it, and just ordered the aliexpress one last week to see if I use it more since I tend to forget my phone when its charging in the console and I can't see it. The 2019 US x2 has the lack of covers, a USB-A and lighter by the drink holders, in the console there is a USB-C with data, and then for the back passengers there are are 2x USB-C but for power only, the 2 back connectors do not have data capability. |

Sorry, but you quoted the complete post and not the AliExpress by itself, so it was easy to misunderstand your question.

Hi there,
I bought a wireless charger from eBay, and I'm really happy with it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/363521306740?var=632743556886. You will find several options and prices, but they are around 70-75 euros + shipping. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and it fits perfectly, although I have a really thin cover. So you may have trouble with the newer iPhone 13 if you use covers. There're 2 versions of the wireless charger: with and without USB interface. That's because some X1s only have the lighter socket (like mine), while others also have a USB port. I'm attaching some pictures from my X1 so you can see how it fits. I also bought another wireless charger time ago that fits on the space below the armrest: https://www.carqiwireless.com/produc...31307465916556. It works just fine; however, I didn't like it because, in that space, I put a lot of other stuff, you know, so it was a pain every time I wanted to charge my phone.

What I notice about it fitting in the pictures from jrveron is that they have the retractable cup "inserts" to hold the cup steady in the holder as opposed to the US rubber inserts that just press on the cup and I think that may be the difference, either that or I just didn't try hard enough. I'll be throwing that unit up for sale in a bit and will sell it cheap with the disclaimer when I sell my other parts like the fitcamx camera and spare console bin with covers |

That actually looks neat! I need to figure out how to rip out the wireless charger from the center console so I can have more storage space. I never use it.

Has anyone already done this retrofit of installing the OEM wireless charge in the center armrest? If someone could share the Pin diagram and Wire diagram I would like to try to make this retrofi.
I don't know how to install additional USB ports, as I believe Entrynav 2 only has 1 USB connection. I see that the Pre LCI and LCI models use this HU in most cases, but it offers USB Type-C center console, USB Type-A center stack and rear Dual charger Type-C. How is this possible? |

There is an USB-Hub on the LCI I believe. A135 The one in the rear is only charging so has only 12V + and ground wire. The whole component consists of 2 charging ports. |
