The IWSTi Forum Donations???

So I am more than likely going to sell my e90 and purchase a '12 STi. I recently subscribed to the IWSTi Forum and thus far am enjoying the community and the vast knowledge revolving within it. Some noteable differences between our wonderful e90post and the STi forum as far as layout goes but overall its nicely organized.

One thing that caught my eye was a link stating: "Go Premium today to increase your private message limit and to start receiving other donating member privileges."

At first I thought of our 5 post rule before you can PM (which they do not have on the STi Forum) but then the word donating seemed out of place... this is what I found:

What's the problem? I've been a member over there for 6+ years, having owned two STis in the past. If you want more features, you have to pay. You can get by just fine with the free membership though.

Im just saying; you shouldnt have to pay to have the ability to vote on a poll or post a avatar or change your username...

Nothing in life is free. Here, the vendors pay good money to keep the forums up and running.

Thanks! I'll be sad to let them go. It was a tough choice between keeping them or keeping my ZCP's.

I'm over on IWSTi, and I have no issue with it. It's a donation. Donate if you'd like to support the site (or gain premium priveleges), or don't. Pretty simple.

It costs money to run these sites. It's either more advertisements, higher vendor fees or donations.
