I just got a 2016 X1 f48.
When using BimmerCode, I attempted to add digital mph to my instrument cluster. Airplane mode on, engine off, ignition on. The app displays everything perfectly, code successful. The HU displays an "Update required" message. The instrument cluster now has a water temperature gauge that was not present before, and the time. I have backed up this setting to before I coded anything in the car and the instrument cluster refuses to change. I hoped my first post on here would be something cool, not begging for help, but I'm truly at a loss. |

Ditto...take a deep breath. Then re-read your manual on how to click through the various onBoard info that is available. You probably can go into iDrive and select multiple features you want to appear in the instrument cluster display...with DIGITAL SPEED now being one of them since you coded it on...along with the ones that you wrote that you now see.
The BC button on the turn indicator stalk allows you to scroll through your selections. Again...breath in....breath out...breath in...breath out. TIP: if you go into SETTINGS (in iDrive) and click on INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DISPLAY...you should see a selection for things to appear in the instrument cluster when you press the BC button on the turn indicator stalk.

Glad problem resolved. I recommend all owners download BMW drivers guide from App Store, the guide is VIN specific so will have all your car options and settings, it really is a useful alternative to reading the manual.
