BMW OEM software 37.2

Has anyone noticed that the new BMW software changes the boost on acceleration? I had my HPFP replaced last week and the ECU was reprogramed with V37.2. The car now feels that boost doesn't come on to about 2300 RPM.

Probably true....I have a 6M (saw the granny shifting post) and I don't know my car inside and out like some guys on the forum do. What I do notice is the whirring of the pump, even when I went to my trunk to get something (not even going to drive). That is a bit weird, usually one would think the ignition would be on before mechanical stuff starts functioning...

Most BMW's prime before starting. All I have to do is unlock my X5 and the pump runs for about a second. My x3 did the same.

Well the correct way of writing the software version is 2.37.1.0.1 which is the most recent (although allegedly there is another one coming out in June). So if you have 2.33 you're not that far behind, but there are some definite improvements in iDrive with 2.37.1.0.1.

How long has the above software (2.37.1.0.1) been available?

2008 E92 328i  [0.00]
2011 E93 335i  [0.00]
Is there any significant differences between the stock software on a Sept 06 build 328i E92 vs 2010? Like gong vs chime? Mine doesn't have the gong has the chime. Any other differences in it? Thanks

You are having this same problem? I should be getting updated today, I will look out for that. Of course the service tech I talked w/ said that the software induced turbo lag was a last year thing and now its all better.

when they update, is it always to latest version?

mine was updated to fix this exhaust rattle issue but now everything is different and i prefer the old software. whenever i unlock my car now it makes this loud motor sound almost like the sound of the power seats moving. i notice acceleration is slower and when i'm accelerating out of a right turn it's slow because it's not in the right gear.

Yeah I have the same thing. If I go in the car to grab something it starts churning and you hear the noise.

The new software (I got updated in April) sucks Donkey Balls!

I feel like I have VTEC now haha....right between 2900-3100 rpm the acceleration starts to regain smoothness and the throttle opens up. Before 2900 i feel like there is seriously something pushing on the front of my car and the boost/throttle response is lagging ridiculously.

VTEC kicked in Yo! haha

I just got updated last week. Noticed most of the changes people have talked about in idrive. 1 that I did not see mentioned is that when you use Google maps "send to car", stuff typed into the "notes" box no longer comes through to the car.

Is the wastegate retrofit option still available for the tech to update? I miss my low end torque!

Has anyone noticed any changes to your ipod after getting this update. Before this update, if I was trying to find a song (I have over 3000) on my ipod, it would take forever trying to scroll down the list of songs. Now when I try to scroll fast, it displays numbers briefly (where the title used to be) and seems to scroll alot faster.

Does anyone have a list of iDrive changes with this update? A search didn't give me much - other than this thread
