Banks iDash Guage
I was somewhat disappointed that we very limited information on the dash on the M35i. I bought a Banks iDash to solve this problem. I plan mount it this week between the dash and idrive screen in hopes it will look better and be in my line of sight. Does anyone have any experience using the iDash gauge with our car? I have attached a link below in case anyone is interested in what the iDash can do, it really impressive if I can get it to work.

It doesn’t list it for bmw.
Doesn’t DashCommand or Bimmerlink show the same data? What would you do with this data? |

I am assuming it will have the same options at the X1? I am interested in oil temp, coolant temp, air intake temp, egt, probably boost.

I know it's much different.. but my JB4 can pull up pretty much most of that.
Also.. my OBDII adapter that I use to code the car can also pull all that up on an app. Certainly not a cool gauge like that, but my assumption is that they didn't specifically program it for any German car since it isn't on the list. One other thing to worry about is that the OBDII port would be live so your gauge hopefully turns off.. or it'll be a constant drain on your battery. |
