M badging above the side breathers for M40i
Is the US the only area that does not have the M badge above the side breathers? I thought maybe it was a North American thing that didn't have it but then I see this video from a dealer in Canada and it clearly has it. I haven't seen any M40i in the US that has this badging. Was there a shortage of these badges too?

I don't care either way as long as that's how it left the factory which is pretty much how I prefer it to look. Nothing added, nothing removed. But it's obvious that BMW believes the M badging sells cars and options ever since they started offering M Sport anything in non M cars. That M logo means a lot to some people and BMW is delivering what people want there.
Anyway, my point was this, being merely a minor cosmetic difference, was a strange thing to have one country differ from the others for no discernible reason. |

I do not see the delete badging as an option on either the US or Canadian Price lists or ordering guide. I know that it is a no cost option in Europe. So here it would be possible, but there would probably be a fee for special order.
