AM Radio

Anyone know how to get AM Radio either via coding or otherwise ? thanks.

It's hidden by default in newer software, I got burned by it when my car got a full-CANbus update.

I don't have my car handy right now but as I recall it was a checkbox in some audio menu setting from the iDrive. If you can't find it I'll look later today.

Not understanding this topic. Why wouldn't people be able to select AM on the car's radio? TIA

Appreciated. Last month had software update done as a recall and since had not used the AM till yesterday and then noticed selection was missing, only FM available ! I try navigating around the menus a bit but couldnt find anything.

It would seem for all newer vehicles AM is not available anymore and if updating software on existing vehicles AM gets disabled !!

Interesting. I picked up my '22 on the last day of last year & AM was/is enabled in mine.

Found it !!

From Media/Radio the Personalize Menu was at the very bottom. I hadnt before scrolled all the way down. From here you can enable/disable items. AM was disabled after the software update.
All good now Thanks !!

Good! I actually learned something when this happened to me, I wasn't aware you could disable items. I ended up leaving AM off. And since I never use Satellite Radio, I clicked it off too. It's much easier to change bands to connect my phone now.
