If you have the balls to ask 250k for this car, you should have the balls to handle the backlash from it.
I dont agree with that at all. Too many people comment for all the wrong reasons and articulate themselves in all of the wrong ways. Then it starts a back and forth and no one benefits from that.

On the other hand I see what you're saying. However, those same principles shouldn't be allowed on For sale threads. If the seller or buyer is not trying to scam anyone then why should they face backlash.

If you can't afford/don't want/don't need a certain product thats for sale you should just move on. When you go to a store you don't call a manager of the store to complain about prices on items you're not going to buy anyway, right?

This is the beauty of a free market.

Customer: "I don't want to pay that much for my meds"
Me: "have a nice day, here's for prescription back"

I dont agree with that at all. Too many people comment for all the wrong reasons and articulate themselves in all of the wrong ways. Then it starts a back and forth and no one benefits from that. - I agree with you the latter part. Definitely not a fan of the back and forth, but there's nothing wrong with a healthy discussion about pricing and market markup.

- right, but you know for a fact that an item costs $132 and he's charging $250, I'm pretty sure you're not gonna be happy about and will most likely question his price hike.

This is the beauty of a free market. - without a doubt. A dealer can ask whatever they want, but as I stated previously, if you're gonna go that extreme better be prepared to handle the questions. It's ridiculous that a dealer can ask whatever they want, and we can't have a discussion about it.
1. I agree with you on the latter part. Definitely not a fan of the back and forth, but there's nothing wrong with a healthy discussion about pricing and market markup.

2. If 250k is not realistic market value (at least not at this point considering I just helped my friend secure one for 9k over msrp) then imo they're trying to "scam" people (for lack of better term).

3. Right, but you know for a fact that if an item costs $132 and he's charging $250, I'm pretty sure you're not gonna be happy about and will most likely question his price hike.

4. Without a doubt. A dealer can ask whatever they want, but as I stated previously, if you're gonna go that extreme better be prepared to handle the questions/backlash. It's ridiculous that a dealer can ask whatever they want, and we can't have a discussion about it?

The pharmacy (dealer) will charge msrp to the person with the prescription (allocation). But that person will turn around and sell that drug (car) on the black market for way above msrp. It's all about supply and demand.

A prescription is an Order Demand, not an Allocation. The Pharmacy has the Allocation (which they've filled, with their stock / supply of meds in the back). This Allocation gets matched up with an Order Demand (prescription), and they sell you the meds.

Great. So, I walk into a Pharmacy (Dealer) and they'll sell me an M4 GTS at MSRP, right? Because that's all I'm asking for.

150 cars are allocated to customers directly and not dealers. The customer will walk into the dealer and show them their voucher (prescription). The dealer will then get the allocation (drug) from BMW (drug maker or supplier) only when the voucher number (prescription) and customer info (patient) is verified. with these 150 cars, the dealers will have to pretty much sell them at msrp and the customer can then turn around and sell them for what the market is willing to pay for them.

So for the 150 vouchers given out to customers, they act as an order demand and allocation at the same time.

Think whatever you like, you are not going to change anything about the pricing for the M4 GTS.

My point was that in any/most businesses, there's different prices for the exact sane product. Drugs included.

Nonetheless.

Im getting my dealer allocated GTS just above MSRP. And I'm happy

The car was a consignment from a member on here. I am pretty sure he was just testing the market and now he decided to keep it.
