Hi All,

New to the forum, so apologies for direct questions straight up.

I have a brand new X2 M35i Xdrive. Its now only done 3k miles. Unfortunately, the boot/trunk won't open. I don't see an emergency release pull at all. The trunk releases but the lock won't fully release. Boot lid open flashes on dash but its stuck at about 1/2 inch open.

Does anyone have an idea. Its a UK model (I am based in UK)

Sorry wish I could help, but I would go to the dealer to fix it unless something weird is caught. I'm assuming you have tried to give it a little tug if it at least opens half an inch then there might just be a little help needed? There is indeed no emergency latch as far as I know. If anything I believe you need to pry the interior panel off which I wouldn't while it's under warranty.
