Cool, thanks for the info. They now sell it with a spacer (for an extra $40)- so I'm assuming Msport brakes need the extra distance.

10 month update. Almost at 21k miles (yeah I drive alot) and the front tires are at 3/32 and rears at 5/32. Not going to make it through winter. I was going to buy the Michelin CrossClimate2s but ended up ordering the Pilot Sport All Season 4. They should be here next week.

They just called and said they are in. But it's too late to get them installed and we're supposed to have one heck of a snow storm tonight. lol. At least I got the snow tires mounted on my daughter's car today.

—-12/01/21

Tires mounted. Car needs a wash. Ride is definitely less harsh compared to the runflats. Quieter too.

That's a sweet looking ride. I'm also to buy a used one.

So far so good. Another month and it will be a year. 20k miles in a year is my usual. Lol.
Gas mileage has gone down since winter fuel is in effect

cant tell you how happy this made me!....so glad you posted this, thanks so much!

funny, i think everyone has the same complaints after they first get their X2, right....wireless charger is useless and want to remove it because it uses up 90% of the armrest compartment, the center headrest is in the way and no one will ever sit there, and the "hifi" stereo sucks big time....lol....

well, at least this is one checked off my list

It’s here. Wonder if it’s covered. My oil changes have been free. Lol. I’m at 25668 miles. oil change says another 1800 miles before due.

was just in today, they said come back Friday since they have to order pads.
it's free. the original owner bought ultimate care 3+ and i guess it transferred to me or stayed with the car?
so they're going to get the front brakes done and do the oil change a little early, engine and cabin filters and wipers. the ultimate care expires on april 4th.

Finally hit 30k. Really liking the X2 M35i engine over my ‘18 430 with bm3 stage 1.

I agree it is a fun car to drive and can be useful too. I may look at the new X1 M35 when it comes out. I want (actually Mrs. Rounderman wants it ) the updated safety features, blind spot in particular.

have fun and stay safe

at 36k now. last oil change they were like you need front pads. I was like you changed them 7 months ago when it was free. I measured them at 5mm. GTFO.

anyways, after this morning's bought with iced freeways, streets and hills, the Michelin Pilot All Season 4S tires were no beuno. I ordered a set of snow tires/wheels this morning.

Very nice 5 spokes. Just took mine in for 45k maintenance. Got lifter tick few thousand miles ago, went away after car warmed up.
Spark plugs, brake fluid, oil service microfilter. Recently got the BMW SOS Call System Malfunction message on dash. Getting it all taken care of, hasn't left me stranded yet unlike my e30 with dead odometer at 180k, knock on wood sall goodman. Got a pretty tricked out 2022 330i for a loaner, just makes me wish the x2 had android auto >.<

Plugs that early? What did that run?
I haven’t really looked at the X2 engine bay. I did my own plugs on my F33. Should see if it’s the same on the X2.

I think plugs are due around that 45K mark on the X1.. it's pretty easy to do compared to the other models.

Thanks. I’m only at 38k. I will look at it and order some plugs when I order oil from fcp for my spring oil change. Will do plugs then. Gotta find my spark plug socket now.

Yeah those silly thin walled sockets are becoming more and more standard.. I did one for a car and didn't realize it needed the skinny socket and got it wedged in the valve cover.. that was an experience trying to get it out!

Out of interest when was the lifter tick audible? (And did it sound like rapid ticks?) Had my M35i for about six months now and I get a noise which I describe as tappity when having a bit of fun with the accelerator and the engine has to do some work, not sure if it's something I should be concerned about and get checked out under warranty

Hit 40k. Still enjoying the car. Not ready to go back to a sedan or coupe or convertible yet. Lol.

Anyone use the CRC GDI IVD intake valve cleaner on these cars yet? Probably going to do it in the spring before the next oil change. I was given two cans of these so I will use the other one in my daughter’s Subaru.
