+1 for Kubax86 & Bimmer remote coding.

Been putting off Carplay for the X1 but saw his sale price so went for it. Smooth install (just make sure you have a strong wifi signal) and Kubax was patient and responsive to my US/California emails, he often responds even late his time.

Don't hesitate to go with his option, especially with the sale price for Entrynav2

Headunit needs to have WLAN Port.
ATM has to be present and services have to work.

Hey everyone! I’ve been a long time lurker on this forum. I decided to join so I could share my experience on getting Apple CarPlay installed on my X1. I own a 2018 F48 X1, came with all the bells and whistles but no Apple CarPlay. Anyway on a trip to Oregon I rented some crappy Kia with CarPlay and realized what I was missing…

One night after several beers I emailed Bimmer Remote with my VIN, they said they could upgrade my X1 for CarPlay. It took a couple coding sessions to get it right but they got it done, it’s a dream come true.

They work around your schedule, honestly it’s totally worth it and I highly recommend. One piece of advice… if at any point you think “this isn’t going to work” just take a deep breath, they’re going to find a way to make it work. Just relax.

If you are only activating full screen then warranty isn't void. If you have carplay from factory best option is to update it to latest firmware then enable carplay through coding. Pm me if you need any assistance
