Fantastic movie. I'm not a big Gosling fan, but the wife and I watched this in Oct./Nov. We were surprised with how entertaining it was.

How come? I actually enjoyed it! It's not a character driven story, sure, but I thought the plot was pretty compelling. Granted it's a bit more of a "lean-forward" rather than a "lean-back" kind of movie.

I was impressed with I Care A Lot, Rosamund Pike and Peter Dinklage were great adversaries. I definitely rooted for Peter and found the ending quite gratifying. I was hesitant to tell my 82 year old stepmother about it but she liked the plot.

My wife & I watched this last Friday. I wouldn't call it a "good" movie, but we just kept watching it to see how far it would go along. I called part of the ending, but not "who" was going to do the act.

  • The Parallax View, 1974, with Warren Beaty. Directed by Alan Pakula, who also did Pelican Brief, and All the President's Men.
  • Michael Clayton with Clooney and Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson.
Both really good.

Almost watched this last night. Instead watched Come Play. Meh...

The former would've been worse imo. Not my cup of tea (genre).

My "on demand" for new movies sucks these days. Slim pickings. lol

Come Play had soooo much potential. The concept was fantastic. The execution was unfortunately, not. Wrong Turn is MUCH better! But totally different.

3,000 Miles To Graceland. This movie kicks ass!

"Nice day." "GREAT day!"

Here's the gunfight scene:

I'm sure most have already seen it. Worth watching again.

What's the synopsis?
Basically, Rosamund Pike scams her way into being the legal guardian of select elderly folks. She puts them up in care homes and sells of their personal property to finance her operation/business. I won't give away the plot or post spoilers but she ends up picking a mark with baggage and a game of cat and mouse ensues.

Wifey and I just finished watching it. She lasted the whole movie but I didn't. Decent acting but horrible writing IMHO.

Wife and some friends of ours finished watching Bad Times at the El Royal. Not sure how I missed this movie when it came out but it was excellent. Everyone really liked it. Great plot, engaging mystery and stories/characters, and great acting. Definitely worth a watch.
