Suggestions for dash cam wiring
Ok so this is my second thread but a little different
I have a dash cam that has a second camera for the rear of the vehicle that has a wire running all the way up to the main unit on the front windshield. Any ideas how to hide or route that wire into the X2, from all the way from the rear window, up to the front windshield? The headliner seems pretty well attached, not sure if there's any non-destructive way to get up there. Appreciate any ideas, thanks!

Pick up something like this - don't use anything sharp that might cut the headliner or scratch the plastic moldings.

Sorry for the lack of pictures but I have a dual cam as well, BlackVue. I ran mine from front to back with a small flat head screwdriver, a plastic wedge tool (not necessary but makes things easier), and a wire coat hanger like the ones you get from dry cleaners.
- Just run it from the driver side and run along the head liner - to the A pillar - to the head liner again - then the B pillar - rear seat head liner * (use the coat hanger for the next steps) - to the rear middle seat belt hole in head liner - to the hole in the top rear rubber hose (pops off easy) that goes to the top of the trunk - through the rubber hose to the wiring for the trunk lid - and straight to the center of the rear glass *note* if yours is similar to the one I have be extra cautious when plugging in the wires to the device. The pins can bend very easily and if forcefully pushed in the center pin will break. I had this happen in my previous car |
