I've driven both cars extensively, and actually like them both. The BMW is sportier, the Audi is smoother. In those cases, each owner ended up with the "right" car....

Have you personally been in one and driven one? If not, it really is a turd of a car. Feels cheap. The audi drove better. Interior was better. Only thing the x1 had on the Q3 was the infotainment system.

Assume this will have that same ridiculous looking shifter that's in the X1?
I don't know why it needs to be so tall in the X1.

I hear ya. Owned X1 for 2 years and it’s a boring car, so I trade in for X5 with M-Sport...happy ever since.

I swear I just saw a very very similar test mule last week. Looking at these pics more I am about 90% sure thats what it was. Looked sporty. ill have to snap a pic next time I see it. All the test mules stop at a coffee shop a few times a week in my town.

http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...omparison-test The X1 was so dominant in winning the comparison that the gap between 1st and 2nd was larger than the gap between 2nd and last. Last, by the way, was where the Audi Q3 finished. And again that's just one of many. Anyway, enjoy yours. |

I never take the comparos that seriously, regardless of what I currently drive or what I am looking at. They just supply a point of reference, owing to the fact that these organizations exist to sell magazines or promote themselves in some way...aka, you never know what the motivations are with a particular review or comparison. Like I said earlier in the thread, my gf has a 2016 Q3 and it is one of the smoothest riding cars I have ever been in. It's quiet, and comfortable and absorbs bumps really well. Looks are subjective, so no need to go there...but there's no denying that one of Audi's strengths lies in the interiors of their cars. The Q3 is no different, and is a very nice place to be.

Its 2018 soon and they are introducing as new a car based on an F- platform ?
Old technology, old platform. Would not spend a penny on such a car! |

No. All UKL vehicles continue to use F model codes. Even the future 1 Series hatchbacks and 2 Series Gran Coupe have Fxx codes. It has nothing to do with the age or fitness of the underlying platform.
