Wow that is a lightning-fast build time. COVID accelerated that window, for sure!

Cannot believe how quickly this was delivered... Dealership said that production/ shipments were delayed and told me 10 to 12 weeks so wasn't expecting until end of April/early May. Definitely enjoying it!! 🚙😃👍🏼

Man... Your order to delivery was really fast.

As a comparison, I ordered mine on 12/24/20. It started production on 2/1 and I just picked it up 3/31 too (West Coast).

But like you, I am soooo stoked. The blue looks awesome - by the way. I was thinking of going blue with black interior, but I went Storm Bay with Lava Red. It's definitely a looker. I owe this group some pics. Will wait for a sunny day (hard to come by in the PNW).

Congrats to you!

Green tire valve caps

Just wondering for anyone that ordered their X2, what color were your tire valve caps... mine are green, if you zoom in on the pictures, you can see it... not a big deal, easy fix, just wondering 🤔

Just a heads up.. Green generally means it's filled with nitrogen not regular air... Not really a huge deal. Nitrogen is lighter but I've never bothered with any of that nor have my tires been filled with it. I'm more than happy using my regular air pump

Ok, makes sense - thanks! I thought the caps for Nitrogen filled tires had "N2" to indicate nitrogen... also, when did this become an option on the X2? I did not get charged but it is not listed anywhere on my build sheet... My BMW dealership does offer free nitrogen tire fills so maybe will stay with nitrogen filled. One thing that always happened at least once a year during the first sign of cold weather with my past BMWs (2012 550iX and 2018 340iX) is that every time temps fell below freezing, the TPMS would always indicate 'check pressure'... happened with the MINI Cooper S also... back in 2008 I was told using nitrogen would remediate the issue but I think nitrogen filled tires was not as common and I would need to purge the tires and BMW charged for nitrogen filled tires.

Keep in mind that regular air in your tires contains 78% nitrogen. So be wary of tall tails on benefits.

Had to put on my front plate... asked dealership not to drill into the bumper. Saw some posts that tow hook mounts interfered with parking sensor; however, I had no issues with the US Millwork Lightened QR mount. Easy to install only took about 15 minutes after watching the install video. Looks ok... but definitely rather not get pulled over and ticketed.

I have it zip tied in the grille in front of the radiator.. I don't believe I've seen any increase in temp because of it.. fits nice and smooth. I did think of the tow hook mount, but I always see people with crooked plates and it drives me insane they don't fix it

Agree with zip ties but worried about the air intake being hindered... good to know for next time!!

saw some posts about double sided tape but in the Northeast not sure that would work... lol

Keeping it straight is on the radar also... I think it's straight now but will definitely always be checking

Wondering if anyone noticed when signing documents the add-ons at no charge... Dealership is stating since these boxes were not checked on the Final Acceptance, I would be charged... the finance guy never showed me this page... does anyone remember the "Final Acceptance" page of their contract? Also, no charge add-ons are Opt-In?... ugh...

This doesn’t sound right at all.Although All of the items that you pointed out are no charge items, I would take this to the general manager and ask him if this is the standard operating procedure for the dealership. I certainly doubt it is.

It's really only blocking some of the radiator.. the air intake comes from the top main grilles, and the intercooler is on the side that the other air duct should pass air through.

Intercooler is on bottom in front of radiator. And oil coolers in both left and right ducts.

License plate on bumper or tow hook is optimal location.
