so i don't have really much experiences. But what i can say ist, that there is a lot of power from 1750 rpm to 3000 rpm. i'm very interested how fast the car will be after the the break-in. if you start the engine, you can hear that it is a diesel. while driving it's difficult to hear that your are sitting in da diesel. i think you will have a lot of fun with your 330d. (and me too) |

All from 1750rpm
"Pure power isn't the big issue this time, though this turbocharged straight-six has a healthy 184bhp, just 9bhp down on the current hottest 3-Series saloon, the 328i SE (which will eventually be fitted with the 330 engine - see left). Torque is the thing here. The 330d has 288lb ft of it, all available from a low 1,750rpm to 3,200rpm. This car has more torque than a Subaru Impreza P1 or a Mitsubishi Evo V." TOP GEAR

Got it
The diesel variants likewise offer sporting and dynamic power. Featuring the latest common rail technology and a turbocharger with variable turbine geometry, the diesels are even more dynamic than their already most impressive predecessors. The top-of-the-range 330d Touring develops an enormous 170 kW/231 bhp from six cylinders, plus perhaps an even more staggering 500 Nm/369 lb-ft maximum torque all the way from 1,750-3,000 rpm, once again giving the car best-in-segment driving comfort and dynamics. On the road this naturally means supreme performance, with acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 248 km/h or 154 mph. Fuel consumption is 6.7 litres/100 km or 42.2 mpg Imp in the composite EU cycle, and it almost goes without saying that the BMW 330d Touring complies with the European EU4 emission standard. It was at second lol |
