That's like a million miles from the original X2 Concept! Shame on BMW if this is what makes it into production.

it's going to need to look sportier than that. I know, I know, don't kill the messenger.
but with the competition in the sector more sport will do the trick. the gla250 isn't hard to beat in the looks department, at least sans sport fascia. |

That rendering is hideous and there is no way it will look like that. Closest rendering so far does not mean it is accurate.

Looks pretty spot on to me based on the patent drawings and the spy shots. Of course, there are the sportier version spy shots, probably an ///M sport version. Would like to see a render of that.

Agreed, but the concept was likely based on the M sport version, this render is probably based on the basic version = the sucky one!

so tell me again whats different than the x1 that they are making this? roundel on c pillar and a more angled rear liftgate?
we all know the interior will be the same as the x1 and the driving dynamics, wheel choices, etc.. so why do we need this again? just make a proper 3er wagon and send it stateside. if you even tell me it has a lower ride height than the x1 to make it "sporty" im just going to yell wagon again...

I've seen the production car and this does not look like it at all. The X2 was shown next to the new X3 and the X2 was actually the better looking one.

The top trimmed M Sport will look good... my issue with these vehicles is that most likely only the weakest diesel engine will come with FWD... the decently powered petrol engines will be bogged down by AWD... no use to me whatsoever in the UK where AWD is totally unnecessary! Shame as I quite fancy a 250+hp M Sport version of this! |
