Alloy wheel corrosion warranty?

Has anyone had corrosion appear on their 2016 18" Y diamond cut alloys around the inner spoke area, are they covered under BMW's warranty?

Had 3 of them replaced free of charge even a month after the 3 year warranty expired.

BMW know its an issue make your dealer claim for you.

As long as they have no impact damage, previous refurb or kerbing they will replace them usually.

I also noticed this in my 2019 18' model 566 alloy.

Is this similar to yours?

It’s the coating over the cut section tends to fail at the centre cap and where cut face section meets painted interior spokes.

Don’t see anything that would concern me in that photo. Maybe put a circle around what your referring to.

Unless you refer to the three small mark bottom left of the photo and yes that’s the wry start of top coat Delamination. It will get bigger.

Had the rears changed under warranty (at two years), fronts have now gone and rears just starting again. Car is on 67 plate.
