Yes!! Figured out how to code out speed limit in HUD!

This also removes speed limit info from the main instrument cluster too, but I only find it an annoyance. I used bimmercode but this can obviously be done via other platforms.

As a former owner who struggled on various wild goose chases trying to code the speed limit info into the HUD, this ….boggles my mind …a bit 😳

Wait... speed limit info can be coded in? I have a 2017 X1 - Canadian. No speed limit info in the maps, gauge cluster, or HUD.
Do I need a forward facing camera or does it use map data?

I love seeing speed limit. Why remove it?

I'm with you, having the speed limit in the HUD is one of he most useful features it has, especially since around here speed limits on smaller roads change constantly going through cities and towns.

Why the desire to not show it?

I just dislike it, it's visually garish and obnoxious to me, and I don't need to be any more aware of the speed limits anywhere than the posted signs or my own knowledge already make me. But of course I understand many also like it, hence its inclusion!

If you're inclined to search for whatever reason, there are a bunch of us that don't like it at all, however; many of whom have tried to code it out, few that have been successful, and none that I saw posting instructions (at least that worked for me). So to any likeminded individuals - here you go
