If the USB is larger than 64gb it will have to be formatted to FAT32 in 32gb format. So make sure you use a 32gb card or smaller. Also like has been said do not copy the first folder copy everything else inside of that onto the usb. Do not extract directly to the usb instead extract onto PC than copy over.

If all you have is 64gb and above use this lite software to format your 64gb+ usb drive partitioned into 32gb FAT32 format.

Actually formatting the USB drive to NTFS worked. I used a 64gig drive and FAT32 didn't work initially so formatted to NTFS and it worked. This was suggested by someone in this forum or somewhere can't really remember though.

Glad to hear it worked. For me the FAT32 method worked.

No due to the size and the fact that it is on a free host, mega it is.

Thanks!

Successfully installed on my 2017 X1. I didn't even need a USB flash drive. I partitioned a USB external hard drive with a 32 gb fat32 partition and my car was able to detect it.

Could be browser issue, try using chrome, it manages buffering and download in way compatible with mega, Microsoft default browsers do not. I had same problem, installed chrome and problem sorted.

I had this same issue. Its not browser related. This is just their policy on high data downloads. I suggest either waiting or download what you can for free than switch on your VPN.

Just updated to my nav and no issues.

Thanks so much for sharing this. I followed your instruction with the Formating using FAT32 and it worked. I was a bit skeptical at first but it does work and it's now updated to 2019-1. It took about 20 minutes to update the file. Thanks again.

Thanks Proper. Did this but didn't really work. I download the Mega App and had it synced to my computer. Then I got it to download.

I just wanted to add, members can format the usb stick via the command line ensuring it will be formatted to fat32, as long its 32gb of less stick. Type on the cmd line:

Format /FS:fat32 x:

substitute x with the drive letter windows assigned to your usb stick.

hope this helps.

For EUROPEAN members (both east and west). I am advised “route map Europe 2019-2” is now available for download.

Finally, an update for my "old" June 2016 sat nav. I think the last one was well over a year ago. I'm downloading as I type, and here's a screenshot of the two, yes two, options available for those of us with the ancient head-unit

Thanks for the heads-up on this!

Yes, the last update for those of us with the "ancient" 2016 Nav was version 2018-1 which was released November 2017
Anyway - at last a new update

Wonder what happened to 2019-1
