yes....my whole point was, we have all these hoops to jump through, and in the end, they're ineffective aside from hassling law abiding gun owners. I'm not complaining about there being too few laws. But that our current laws are knee jerk, half assed measures that are essentially useless. again, reading comprehension.

my wife went out yesterday and bought more chicken (the freezer is pretty full of frozen chicken, much of it was frozen because the expiration date was coming soon, a pork shoulder (that she specifically told me not to buy a week ago), and a bunch of fresh fruit

im going to have to get creative with chicken breast, previously frozen chicken breast

I've wondered the same thing. I washed my hands constantly prior to this. The one thing I've learned is that people are nasty and don't know basic hygiene.

I was in Walmart a week ago & stopped to wash my hands. Another lady in there washed her hands for 3 seconds & freaked because there were no paper towels. Misguided priorities.

Even people who wash their hands frequently often don't wash and dry them properly. Hands should be washed thoroughly for 20 or more seconds, rinsed well and dried thoroughly. That is not just for this virus, it is for anything including bathroom use and preventing other illnesses. Anyone who has ever been in a public restroom knows almost no one does that. My guess is that even with this information recently publicized, most people STILL aren't doing it properly even if washing more frequently.

I think Alton Brown is entertaining in part because he overcomplicates / exaggerates a lot, but his video on hand washing is pretty good even if a little exaggerated (no one brings their own soap and paper towels to public restrooms):
