Left side exhaust doesn't seem to be working. Is this normal?

I just picked up my new 2022 X2 M35i. Love this car. It seems that the left side exhaust is not doing anything. Is this normal?

Normal. The left-side exhaust has a flap which opens in Sport mode, or when engine load is high.

There are several ways to change this:
- wire it open (which will throw codes)
- Code the car to default to Sport
- Use BimmerLink to open it manually
