Can someone check the default US Spec value for me on this line item?

It is under BDC BODY:
3020 - TCM_SMARTLOCK_DRIVINGREADINESS

is default figure activ or nicht_activ?

I coded for "Start car by pushing button (hold brake not needed)" and then the car would not turn over lol.

Now it turns over again after I changed SMARTLOCK_BRAKE back to activ, but I made the mistake of not writing down the default value of the other line before changing it.

Thanks so much!!!!

TBH if you have a laptop and buy a £13 cable from amazon there is enough help and instruction on here to do it yourself but if you do want someone else to do it try here:

http://www.bmcoding.com/

They can do it remotely if you need.

Well thanks to this thread, and particularly ScottishX1, I've done my first ever BMW coding today!!

I've managed to add the Enhanced Bluetooth option (6NS) to allow several phones to connect at once, after working out the additional options in the iDrive to enable it on the extra phones. I've also got the mirrors folding in automatically when locking the car, and the radio switching off when opening the driver's door (something I was used to in the last E61).

There's a few more things to try in this thread, and on the cheat sheets, but I just wanted to say thanks!!

After some coding i found that the start up M screen (coded) doesn't load up each time car is turn on. Its only now and then that it show. Most time its the green city pic of the NAV.

Does any one else have this problem?
Also the idrive disclaimer is coded off.

Yes I find this also and it's not a real problem as such.

It's just the car doesn't display the splash screen on every start and fast tracks to the Nav screen. The M screen comes up if you haven't driven the car for some time.

Easy Entry with electric memory seats

After trawling through a huge F30 coding thread I found mention of an interesting option that I've just enabled on my X1 - Easy Entry. I didn't see it mentioned on this thread, hence the post.

This feature causes the electric seats (clearly this won't be much use if you don't have electric memory seats, option 459...) to move back a few inches when you open the driver's door after a trip, making it a bit easier to extricate yourself from under the steering wheel. When you get back in the car and close the door, the seat moves forward to its stored memory position for that driver's profile.

There are some thresholds you can change but I haven't played with them. Easy Entry doesn't actually do anything for my stored seat position as it's already a fair way back, but my wife's stored position is quite far forward, and the Easy Entry works on her profile. The seat goes back when opening the door

The option code for anyone interested is:

SM2 - 3000 - EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE = Modus_FA_SLV (default: nicht_aktiv)

Hope that might be useful to someone!

Thanks Clive - it may prove useful in the future. I have not done any coding and more to the point my wife has not driven the X1 yet. However when she eventually does this may come in handy as she will have the seat a long way forward. I ordered electric memory seats for just this reason.

I would have sworn there used to be a google sheet here with various e-code options people have found? I just got my cable the other day and I was hoping to make some changes this weekend but I can't find the google sheet?

You can try a Mini F56 code sheet and a BMW F30 sheet although bear in mind that the F48 is neither and some things will not work.
