Great race and a brilliant drive by LH, incredible passes he made both on Webber and Alonso. McLaren did a great job w/ the pit strategy, they realized it was taking two laps for the tires to warm up and nailed it on the 2nd and 3rd stop. Felt bad for JB, that's two retirements in a row, and both just when he was picking up the pace. Hope McLaren rides this success to next week and the car is really coming alive like Lewis said it was.
SV just looked out of it, couple of mistakes and then not being able to pass Massa, even though the car was back in full performance, lucky for him the Ferrari pit crew helped him out. Still has a huge lead, hope the other guys are the to close the gap as the season goes on. |

It's been confirmed that he had problems with his brakes for the entire race, which had obvious consequences. So I wouldn't say full performance. All the power in the world is useless if you don't have any control going into a corner.

One of the best races of the year for sure. Great tight battle almost the whole race for the top 3. Dont really care for Massa but I felt bad for him not getting ahead of Vettel.

there was a radio message from his engineer which told him the issues were gone and he could use FULL performance, so unless after the race something else came up, he didnt have any problems towards the end

I just realized, it's almost like Lotus Renault's cars are begging Kubica to come back. With as often as then go off onto the dirt, or get airbourne, it's like they are saying, "Hey, look here Robert we can rally too!"
And Hamilton going tripod at the first corner with Webber. That is some immense grip.

Should've done the same for Fernando last year in Abu Dhabi. 20 poles, 27 wins, twice world champion. Cannot overtake a rookie.

yup. it's kind of funny, too, if you think about it. Button, they always say he can't overtake... Webber tries but outbrakes himself, Hamilton crashes about half the time when he tries... Massa, well, he is always crashing, innhe? Schumacher (II) has lost a few front wings, which counts more than every other (amazing) overtake he's completed... alonso and vettel you covered. rosberg overtakes... the HRTs on occasion...
I dunno, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is tough to overtake in F1? just a theory... to add to it, when they do overtake with DRS, people complain it's fake.
