I struggle with the interior.
The trim accent piece is too thick along the sides of the outer vents, like shown along the vent on the drivers side. I don't mind the red trim but that big chunk on the side of the vent is ugly. The high gloss black center trim around the radio/AC controls looks awkward up against the muted black of the dash vinyl. I think it needs to be trimmed with another piece to transition the two together better. The shifter is just awful. IMO

I know the X1 and X3 are lower down the pole than the X5 but I feel like every time I look at the interior of the two of them they just look and feel so much cheaper than they should. Its a total let down.
The new X1 looks wonderful on the outside. Much better than the X3 and more inline with the X5, which to me is the only BMW model to look good without M-Sport trim.

I'm going to have to agree with others on interior. Looks like it's .1 notch above a Mini Countryman. But still a viable option for me if I decide to go budget, on the next ride. Overall, looks promising

This is a handsome car actually !
I like it, but it's kinda weird to see a transversal engine in a BMW ?! My mind is doing tricks... and i am seeing Toyota hood ...

Wow I must be the only one that thinks this car looks great inside and out. Aside from the red trim piece, this is by far the best looking car in its class.

Look's like he's taking a dump?
Seriosuly, as an owner of the E84, the new baby X is a welcome addition. The shifter is Horrible, besides that, everything else looks like it's a huge upgrade of the E84. Now, we need a hybrid with the B38

The exterior is fantastic. A very very nice upgrade from the previous generation. I don't agree the interior is awful, but it is not on par with the excellent exterior. Great photos too!

Even in the picture the plastic looks cheap. The flow of the components is not good either. The central console triangle is bad looking and the shifter is plain terrible. What a pitty...
