Australian pricing
Hey guys,
Im looking at getting a new X1, and was wondering what some of you other guys in Australia are getting price wise so i know what i should be targeting. My current quote for a 25i without any haggling is $72K with: -m sport pack -paint (sparkling storm) -wood trim -panoramic sunroof -sun protection glazing. They gave me corporate which they state brings the dealer delivery down from ~5k to 2k. I did however tell them that the standard recommended dealer delivery as per BMW Australia's website (the owner of this particular dealership) was 2.5k. Interestingly the corporate program reduces the included servicing from 5 years (80000 km) to 4 years (60000 km). So it seems you don't really get a discount with "corporate". the guy admitted dealer delivery was a con, but didn't rectify the reduced servicing. Anyway, what sort of prices are you guys getting OTR? I was thinking 65k ish would be reasonable. |

$65k is about right for the options that you're after. But I'll just point out that Sparkling Storm is not available with M Sport - only the two whites, black, grey, silver and blue are available.
I'm getting 5 yrs /80,000km free servicing under corporate (BMW Advantage Platinum) so I'm not sure what you mean by reduced servicing from 5 to 4 yrs. |

Interesting, the sales assistant wrote up two quotes with their ordering computer program - it allowed the sparkling storm?
Also he told me 4 years / 60000 km for corporate.... he also gave me another quote without the corporate which states "BMW SI Basic 5 yr / 80 Km's" |

Haha yeah but it's likely when they come to actually order your car, which is a separate process (probably on another system), that they will tell you it can't be ordered in that colour. I would have liked my M Sport in Platinum Silver if I could!
For Corporate, there are 2 levels - Gold and Platinum, depending on which your company qualifies for. Gold is 4 yrs/60k, Platinum is 5 yrs/80k km. Are they running the 5 yrs Basic SI as a promotion? If so you might as well just take that if it's better. |
