Seeing F30s around town
Well, it's about time!!! Finally, after months since the F30 was launched, I've seen my first privately registered F30 on suburban street. At 1520 today, I was travelling north along East Boundary Rd, Bentleigh East when I saw a 320d make a turn to follow me for about 1.5kms.
It was equipped with Halogen lights with the horrible looking welled up tear shaped DRLs on. Dark colour paint, looked dirty, which made the car blend into its surrounds. The car did not stand out from the crowd in this instance. Unfortunately, the female driver was also talking on the mobile manually, rather than via bluetooth. M-Sport guys, let me tell you that our cars are going to be the pick of the F30 crop - especially in Estoril Blue.

yea.. I've seen quite a few (probably the same couple actually) around in Bris.
Mostly 320d, in the metallic black or silver (mainly lady drivers too). I see a nice black 335 every so often and I keep seeing the same black 328 around too... My AW M-Sport won't stand out like your EB one David :P it'll just blend in .. at the risk of jackin this thread, anyone looking at mods yet? I'm going to start looking up pricing for the M grilles and a tune ... ooh and possibly a black/CF boot lip : |

I saw one MG 328i SL around a couple of months ago, other than that I haven't seen many at all while I've been driving around on the weekends.

Negative on the stripes... Don't know why but I just don't like them. Now just waiting around to see which vendors have the lip and their prices

So have I. In the past 2-3 weeks I've seen about 5 or 6 M3s.

"Chalk and cheese" as the saying goes. (No idea why the comparison in that short statement).
Completely different with the white corona rings glow so nicely in the bi-xenons setup. Cannot wait for mine.

I have been asking myself that question for a while. Obviously I am looking at where I, other drivers and pedestrians are going, so I was just telling my wife the other day that quite possibly there have been F30s passing me by, but I've not seen them.

Ok, so I saw my second F30 today. Dark colour again. Blended into the environment. Not standing out. Sorry to those who have a dark coloured F30, but the car in standard guise isn't terribly inspiring to me.
I would say that most other drivers wouldn't know that the F30 is new.

I saw 2 today!!!
One was parked and for the first time I could actually see it in all its glory as I walked by and stopped for a closer look. Dark blue 328i and yes, it is BIG - for a 3 Series. I see why some people are upset by the 3 series growing in size. Mind you, this car looked magnificent. Nice and clean with a long bonnet. The other was a grey one, which passed by me on the road. Also looked fantastic.

The only colours I know are Estoril Blue and of course, Melbourne Red. However, the Imperial Blue (3rd colour I now know- thanks) looked very nice, whether it was a Sport line or not.
