19 X2 xDrive28i - 17 wheels fit? Is the hifi amp the same as the 18 f3x?
Looking at a 19 CPO X2 xDrive28i. Its got 19 runflat all seasons. Was thinking of getting 17 snow setup.
I have the Bavsound Revenant amp in my 18 F33 430i. Was wondering if that will switch over. Guessing my BM3 tune wont switch over? Not really sure if this is a good move. I do need more room and my F33 is running good so far at 72k miles. Got grandkids to drive around. Cant fit car seats in the back of the F33. Lol |

if your looking at the 28 I would recommend the X1, slightly more room in back, easier to see out the rear window. Now the M35 is a different story. Overall the car is pretty good. I enjoy not being so low to the ground. The all season run flats are okay not great in snow. I got cheap and didn't buy snow tires when I got the car, which I regret when my lease is up next year and if I get another one (hopefully) I will get dedicated snows
Biggest issue on the wheel is make sure they clear the brakes, can't help on the tune or sound system. there are a couple of threads on folks who did tune the car you might want to read. Good luck and if yo can get the go fast version it is a real hoot to drive |

There was an optional size of 17" tires factory on the X2 so that should be fine. Again as rounderman mentioned if you get the m35i it's a different game completely and the 17" tires I'm almost certain will not fit.
You'd be best to contact bavsound about compatibility, but again, I have a feeling it would be okay to switch over. You may have to code something in however depending on the X2 having the hifi sound or HK system. I'm only saying this because I have noticed that everytime I look at the amp upgrades they pretty much work for every car. BM3 you are mostly out of luck. Also if the dealer has updated the software it will lock the DME and no BM3 flashing would be available either. I also believe that the X1 and X2 also got the short end of the stick, and it's not listed under any BM3 tune anyways. I agree with rounderman in terms of you might not increase the size too much, but that may be a good thing. I'm assuming your f33 is a 2 door and not a GC car with 4 doors. The X1 would have more space, but young kids are still small so if you like the X2 look more I certainly wouldn't be afraid. If you need to put in a double stroller, I don't think it would fit either X1 or X2 |

Thanks guys! my f33 is the convertible, so the back seat is basically useless. My grandkids are 5, 3 and 1. I'll mostly be driving the 5 and 3 year old around.
I'm really anti-suv so the x2 is smaller than a regular suv which is what i'm looking for (i drive an suv for work and hate it, i really wish we would go back to the chargers). I was also looking at the subaru crosstrek for a compact suv (i bought my daughter a new subaru impreza and we're happy with it) but I kind of want to stick to BMW. My last few cars were: '06 BMW 325i, '09 BMW 328i, '15 Subaru Legacy, '18 BMW 430. I jumped on the 430 because I've always wanted a hard top convertible but I guess as I'm getting older, I got over it. I guess I really need to stop in a drive it to see if it'll put a smile on my face. I could always sell the amp and bm3 if I can't use them. Sadly there's no CPO or new M35 options right now in my area. |

Coming from an Crosstrek before I got my M35 I would say definitely stick with BMW. The Crosstrek is ok, but it's slow as molasses and developed a lot of rattles and creaks within a couple years.
We test drove both the X1 and X2 and were surprised at how much space the X2 still had compared to the X1. The difference isn't as great as we assumed looking from the outside.

Yeah the Subaru engines are a little lacking. Im looking at the Alfa Stelvio as well.
BMW Cleveland just lost me. In my contact info I always write I work permanent nights, do not call, use email. They called and woke me up. When I was shopping for a car for my daughter in the fall, I emailed three Subaru dealers. The only one thay didnt call me got the sale. |

PCD is always an option there are dealers out there who specialize in out of state deals. I assume based on your history you may have thought of that but just in case.
I cross shopped the Giulia and what turned me away was reliability in general and dealers almost universally got horrible marks. I still get the email summary from one of the Alfa boards and most of the trending posts continue the love of the car and the hate of the dealers and reliability But one must drive a vehicle they like if that is an option in life. As we all know all to well life is short. Good hunting stay safe |
