X2 and Window Tint

Has anyone tinted just the front windows to match the rear factory window tint? If so, what brand and shade did you have installed? Asking as the former owner of my CPO X2 blacked out all the windows with the darkest available, including a windshield strip, and its too dark for me (have to open the windows at night so I can see where I'm turning). Looking to remove all of it and just do the fronts to match the factory-tinted rears.

30% is a close match for the front two windows.

Garage List
I did 3m ceramic. I think it was 32%. The whole front windshield is also done at 70%.

Definitely go Ceramic if you have a choice. I want to say mine was 30% but it's not listed on the invoice. I've had 3 cars 'matched' & my van-based RV's front 2 windows in the past 4 years. No issues with any of them.

I did also go ceramic (but that I think is for the UV properties, not the actual look). I have a max legal limit of 35 here and I think it's a little bit lighter than the rears so I agree that 30% might do it. I would look up your local laws and if 35 is the legal limit, I'd stick to that and call it a day, it's not worth the hassle if it's illegal.

Thanks all. I usually do 30%-50% on all my cars, depending on brand. Ceramic or nano-ceramic as well. Looks like I'll go with the 3M Crystalline 30% on the fronts. Crystalline 70% on the windshield too.

My other car has Crystalline 70% on the windshield and you hardly know its there. It allows more light in than the Air80 I had on the windshield before that, and has better heat rejection.

I have 20% on my fronts and it's great. i regret not tinting over the factory tint in the rear because from the inside, you can see the difference but from the outside, it looks flush.
