Came across some M235i-Racings... ;)
A few weeks ago I was up in Dusseldorf. I decided to pop into Classic Remise(one of my favorite car storage places)... anyways... while look around the "shops" vendor areas... I spot these wonderful beauties! They had just detailed the the cars and it was the week before the 24h race of Nurburgring. No idea what they were doing in there. But I really dug the details for the M235i Racing! The guys in there were giving me the "evil eye" for taking so many pics, so I really didn't want to impose too much on them. Sorry for the rushed photos - not my best work. But still this race car is very interesting.
Seems that the M235iR is giving Porsche some good competition for a turn-key factory built racer. Enjoy, Dackel wide body kit covers factory fuel door... This is what the Classic Remise looks like... its a storage place for your classic car. Also there are many car related shops here. a "normal" M235i for comparison... back outside... I found this thing a little bit creepy!

You know what I've just realized....I've been there and it was such a random occurrence! Very random and off-topic OP (sorry for that), but I just had an "AHA!" moment.
Great pics! |

Lol those dolls are super creepy!
I really wish the M2 took more design characteristics from the M235i racing (ie the flares and the front bumper). It looks gorgeous. |

That wide body kit is hot!
Are there carpool lanes with minimum occupancy regulations in Germany? Maybe that's what they're for. Some people put mannequins in the front with sunglasses and hats or put hats on their dogs. They're not fooling anyone! Thanks for the pics. Would love to see those things racing.

(sorry in French)... I also found this video from JP Performance... he is also up in Dusselldorf... JP is a bit of a TV celeb. He has his own tuning show on German TV. Basically in this video he shows you a M235iRacing... the only mods he does to the car is a FMIC from Wagner, SW tuning(you have to remove the intake manifold and a catless Downpipe. But check out all that cool "kit" the basic car has. Diff cooler, fuel cell, slicks, race exhaust, etc... These cars are really quite trick. (Sorry in German)...

Awesome pictures, Dack! It sure is nice to photograph these race cars so close and, more importantly, before team branding. Noticed the PFC calipers there and other race specific parts.
Did you, by any chance, notice if the wheel/tire setups is staggered? I know the official spec sheets says 18"x10 square, but I've seen some alternatives for the Belgium races, if I'm not mistaken. Also, are these the updated versions that we have heard about here: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1163510 ? I wonder if they use the new B58 engine already... |
