* Porsche Turbo S: Road and Track Review *

OH MY GOD

Check this out: http://www.roadandtrack.com/tests/ca...he-power-of-12

they got the Turbo S to go 0-60 in 2.6 secs!! and 10.7 @ 129mph in the 1/4mile!!

That is just utterly insane for a $160,000 car

Sorry, I just had to share that.

wrong section, bro

but anyway i heard that road and track's 0-60 times are quicker than other publications because they don't do it from an exact standstill, is this true?

Why are they forcing us to use PDK?

I still don't really like the "beetle". Sure the performance is amazing but this car just does nothing for me design-wise (maybe because the design is nearing 50 years old). For the money I think I'd rather have an R8 V10 or a Vantage V12 even if they are slower....

The PDK is the only reason this car is hitting those numbers. Just look at the GT2RS - more power, lighter and a 6 speed manual. It is slower in a straight line (only).

My father actually just ordered one of the new Turbo S. He already has a panamera turbo with sport chrono package that I'm going to try to take off his hands in the next year or two (hopefully with a family discount ).
Once the S comes in I'll use the v-box and see if I can duplicate R+T's time. I did hear they roll out when they do runs though. We'll see, but I'm really looking forward to driving this, I thought the panamera was a rocket when I first drove it.

Yes fast but honestly at that point it's just for bragging rights..I'd rather row my own gears use my leg foot and be slower.
