"New" E46 M3 and E39 M5 For Sale at Ohio Dealership

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Technically not new so the article is misleading. Its low miles but still not new. LOL at the prices.

You Can Buy This Brand New 2003 BMW M5 for $150,000
Or a 2004 M3 for just $100,000

I get my car worked on at Enthusiast and have talked to Eric a couple of times. I may drive over and look at them this weekend, not waste the salesperson's time but might be worth the 10 minute drive if I am out.

I never understood it but somehow them buying a super low mile car and asking a lot for it irritates some. I am fine with anyone buying whatever they want and trying to sell it for a lot of money.

EAG specializes in these sorts of cars - check their website, they have a huge inventory of lower mileage, mostly stock M cars. These have exceptionally low mileage though

While I think it's a waste of a car, it's pretty cool if you're a collector and these sorts of vehicles come along. There will be a buyer for them, they're always is.

I'm not surprised at all. EAG is known for selling super rare classics with extremely low miles for really hefty prices. Nevertheless, they both look great!

I don't understand buying one, any driving of the car will drastically reduce the value and not collectible enough to just store for another 10 years.

I'm sure there is someone out there with plenty of disposable income who wishes they could buy a brand new E46 M3 and drive the shit out of it. $100k is still chump change for a toy car for some (must be nice).

Thell be worth that in 10more years. However that's not even close to new. "New" cars are like a ZR1 with 8miles. Not an M car with literally 150 different romping test drives by the dealer manager over the years

They're also helping the Clownshoe M Coupe attain crazy prices.

They make their own market and help inflate the prices of used M cars for the avg joe. Their business model must be working, but I don't support it.

not a fan of their tactics. A Bmw dealer put an ad (not even pics posted yet) for a nice E91 recently. I contacted them within a day, left vm and an email and guess what it was gone (i followed up next day again with a sales person) . 20-21k it was a remember. guess what few weeks later 30k+ on EAG. how is enthusiast suppose to even compete or get a car thats not OVERPRICED. I mean bmw dealer had it for that price. I am sure things were checked out. but hey low volume means jack up the price for enthusiast.

This is really cool but I would find it more fun an rewarding to buy a car in decent shape and do a restoration project. Especially if you have the disposable income to pay these prices.

The situation isn't exactly the same but,

Whenever I buy tickets for something, especially if the event is far away, I'll post them for sale at an absurd price, if someone is willing to buy them at that price then cool, more money for me, if not then I'll just lower it, lol

Hey I respect the hustle. If you sat on these cars instead of driving them then yes you deserve 2nd owner collector rates

Pricing aside, man those cars are in pristine condition!! Not to mention that E46 comes with a 6MT! Wow! I have a friend who just bought a 2005 E46 ZCP 6MT for ~30k with 50k miles.

They look great. The pricing is crazy, but you gotta remember these aren't being sold to be daily drivers they're priced to go to a collector again or a museum. I really want that M3 though.

Agreed 100%. There will be a buyer for these cars. Someone with disposable income and a collection who thinks this will be a "cool" purchase/investment. The dealers have also been much more united on the front deciding which cars they deem collectible. You see many of these boutique/exotic dealerships offering similar type cars in the same price categories. They are whispering in the ears of their collector clients and making some of these crazy deals happen.

Whether these cars are worth the price or not, depends on a lot of things. In my current situation would I pay 100k for an e39 m5, absolutely not. If I had an established car collection, 100k meant nothing to blow, and good friends with the dealer who has a solid history and this would sit nicely with the rest of my collection. I might consider it...
