If that opening isn't present, then yes, you'll have to remove the wheel liner . Last edited by Ridin'Dirty; 11-30-2018 at 12:07 PM.. |

Did you have to or know if the mechanic had to code anything? And if so, is there an issue with coding with a mismatch between the fronts having LEDs but none in the rear? |

Hey, guys, so as I understand, if I have halogen headlights, I can change the halogen bulbs into LEDs plug n play? Only have to do some coding with bimmercode? And they will work fine, no balasts or stuff like with xenons?

Is there room for a fan and heat sink behind the stock fog lights? Like is there that plastic dust shield there? I plan on running white leds for fogs and was wondering if there is room for the heat sink and fan.

Upgraded to the Phillips for the low beams a while back and it's hands down the best investment I've made. Thinking of adding these to the fog lamps just to have that consistency. I know it's a hefty price tag but when you consider how easy it is to install and the visibility seems worth it. Anyone upgraded to these? If it's too large and you're set on a particular brand, you can make it fit by cutting out a small hole in the plastic for the heat sink housing to clear, but I preferred not to "modify" the car in a detrimental way as there were other options available. I went with the Beamtech H8s (no protruding heat sink) and they've been going strong for ~13k miles and 7+ months now. I cannot differentiate the light color difference between Beamtech fogs and stock LED DRLs (halogen light assembly). |

I was lucky, my 2018 X1 that we purchased new in late January came with LED lights. However the fogs were halogen so to match the color of the OEM LEDs I bought a pair of LED Fogs and they are so bright that they are like high beams. BTW my X1 also came with lights that illuminate corners when you turn. I replaced the tail lights with LED's too. Had the X1 coded with all sorts of extras for things like: hold the close button on the handles and the mirrors fold and everything closes including sunroof cover. Leave you hand on the handle to unlock longer or the unlock button on the key fob and it opens the mirrors, unlocks the doors, opens all the windows both front and rear, opens the sunroof cover and sunroof. Great on a hot day. Extra options on the HUD and LCD displays in the dash....

Hi guys
So my set of Phillips Ultinon gave up last week. One of the bulbs has stopped working. Since the older models are no longer available, can anyone confirm if the newer Philips Ultinon Pro3021 will fit Thanks |
