in 2D it looks like a weird triangle in an odd location. In 3D it's not as bad as there is some depth and it actually looks like a vent and not a cut out or triangular hole Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 01-26-2018 at 08:58 PM.. |

LCI will delete that grey accent on bumper and make the air ducts and the bottom less... old fashioned looking. Calling it.
To be honest i do like the look I think the headlights are sleek and modern looking and it just has a nice shape. |

Once you see that the kidney grilles are upside down, you cannot unsee it.
Now every time I look, it's wrong. Even more so next to the X1 which are right side up. |

I have owned a X1 Msport 2 liter petrol for few years now. ok car all in all BUT the one thing that is soooo effing bad in that car is the tyre noise. it's like there is no insulation at all. Very loud. I am quite sure there is that same problem with X2 as well... be aware of that issue when thinking of buying one of these cars here.

X4 and X3 don’t drive the same, tuning is different. However having said that the X1 seats and ride quality suck and it’s a carry on to the X2 don’t expect any improvement.

The original X-drive is an AWD solution, all wheels are used to Get maximum traction. The former is easier, cheaper, not so heavy and a solution used on alot of the cheap 4WD SUV. The drive itself is different, the latter have a worse swing radius also, but enjoy the benefit of superior grip and traction. Allthough fuel economy is a tad worse with the true X-drive system, it is the better system.

My current 2016 320d daily goes back in 2019. Will have a look at this and the X1 for my new DD. The X1 does look better ATM, wonder what changes 2019 will bring and will it be enough to sway me away from yet another 3 series 🤔

I'm sure that it looks better in the flesh but in the photos, it looks a real dog's dinner. Mind you, most SUVs and crossovers are butt ugly anyway
The 4 series coupe and gran coupe are the only cars in the current BMW range which are real lookers, IMO

the x1 should wear the mini brand. after getting a loaner x1 I can say it's a good Chevy but a POS BMW. I almost veered off the road due to torque steer and had to peer under the car to check for a rear differential. I was more satisfied with the Malibu I got earlier.

Handsome sheet metal aside, the moment I started driving the thing, I literally had to remind myself I was in a BMW by glancing down at the steering wheel roundel. There were a couple of times I pulled up to a stop sign and and a Corolla or Sentra would pass by and I'd think "Oh, that's the kind of car I'm driving." The Piano Black trim looked good at first glance, but something compelled me to give it a little knock knock, and was horrified by the flimsy plastic feel I got as feedback. All of the subtle things that make you feel like you're in a luxury car, the X1 lacks. I don't care that it has a 4 banger in it. I have a 2002 SAAB 9-5 Aero that makes similar power with a 2.3 liter turbo four, and it manages to sound refined at idle. The B48 sounds like a hummingbird stuck in a tick tick clock . The steering feel and gear selector could be right out of Hyundai Elantra and the power delivery is less like a car and more like an elastic band; snappy but largely unsatisfying. The doors lack the characteristic baritone thud, and frankly I couldn't have been happier to get her 10 year old N52 powered X5 back
