Hi to all,

I got my car one week ago and I checked the ConnectedDrive software version.
It says 130.003.019 both for phone and multimedia.

Then I checked at bmw.com/update, I inserted the VIN and there is a suggestion for updating using the file UPD07012-2.bin

But in the relevant docs Ι see that the versions mentioned are:
Software update (MV-110.4.10, TV-110.4.10)
Software update (MV-100.12.10, TV-110.4.10)
Software update (MV-10.13.10, TV-10.13.10)

at least from the first number they look older (e.g. 110 instead of 130).

What do you think? Should I make the update?

That update won't do you any good. You'd be going backwards as your current version is the most recent. As a matter of fact, it shouldnt allow you to install it.

Strange that bmw.com/update does not suggest the latest software version!

Yes, and frustrating that you have to open another file before you even know what version of software there is. Seems like a chaotic process but BMW never makes things easy.

I have a 335d X drive 2015 (am on F31 UK subforum) an have exactly same issue as you....on BMW update my car is flagging up the same update as you UPD07012-2.bin. My software in the car states it's higher than the pdf versions for the update. I actually tried to do the update but it won't recognise the software on the USB presumably because it's older! Now the really strange thing is I did an update about 3 months ago which was UPD07012.bin which the car did want to update.....so according to BMW the version now being flagged is even older! Confusing is an understatement!!! Let me know if you have any more news not his...good luck!

hello I am new user and soon new owner of a x25d.
My configuration includes nav pro with connected drive services option and rtti trafic (no internet). The car will be delivered in France but I may have to move to Italy for good in 1 uear time. I would like to know if I can continue to use connected drive services and/or if i need to communicate to bmw the change of country.
