If it's not in listed in your decoded VIN, I'm afraid you most likely don't have it.

This sounds similar to the whole "Driving Assist" and "Speed Limit Info" drama. I paid for Driving Assist because I wanted the speed limit thingamajig. But now it turns out it's standard!! Specs have changed since launch and there is a lot of incorrect and outdated info available on BMW's website.

Fortunately, this is only £40 we're talking about, not £500 (what I paid for Driving Assist)!

That's brilliant.......not only did I save £40.......I now own a BMW that's really cheap to fill up with fuel.......

On a slightly more sober note, have you seen your 'No Overtaking' sign light up yet? I haven't found a road with the appropriate signage to see if it works.

You pay less tax with the smaller fuel tank.
Less tax?

Just bumping this up. I have the 25D Msport & presumed it had the larger touring fur tank but I don't think it has.

Zero range today & 50.4 ltr to fill it up. (Didn't mean to go that low but petrol station on route was shut!!

Had a quick look online with the chassis no & no mention of the option but thought all UK 25D's came with this option?

As has been indicated, this is a tax issue.

Larger tank means more fuel= higher weight, for tax purposes.

Only when obviously stupid with small tank, BMW will supply large tank.

Options are outside of regulations.

It would, probably, be less cost for BMW with one size only, but regulations prohibit this.

Bluezed is the only other UK forum member that owns a 25d afaik. Drop him a PM and double check with him.

61L is correct (see PDF manual page 247).
I have 25d M-Sport delivered July 16

Works fine for me.
You are entering just the last 7 characters/digits ? (and ticking the "I'm not a robot" box)

I am, tried it with the last 7 which on mine is a P followed by 6 numbers but also tried just the 6 numbers, neither works.

Really stupid option which indeed probably has to do with CO2 ratings. Cost was a ridiculously small amount, but I bet many people would miss it when ordering (we did add it).

That's because BMW realizes Australia is sooo big you need 3/4 of a tank just to get out of town!

I have a 25d and asked for it to added to the order. I paid the extra 30 quid and its listed as an option on my VIN. Having the smaller tank would be a PITA, I fill up every week at least once as it is.

Build was summer 2016.

Wish I'd seen this as an option, don't think it was sadly

I have a 2.0i made last month. It wasn't available as an option. Has anyone succesfully added this option in the UK recently?

When I ordered my 18i sDrive xLine Jan18 the 1AG option of the larger fuel tank at £40 was on the price list. Didn't take it up then, but probably would if I ordered a new one now (assuming it's still on the options list).

The latest X1 price list on the BMW UK website, dated November 2018, shows the larger fuel tank (option code 1AG) as an Optional item available across *all* models for £40. So it doesn't appear to be a standard fitment on *any* models. It was standard on my xDrive 20i when I ordered back it early 2016...
