Mouse/rodent got inside

Where could it get in and out from? Checked the cabin filter and it's intact.

Where did you find the mouse? Im guessing somewhere in AC system. If so, there's an AC drain duct a few inches in front of the front central jack point. I can see an ambitious mouse jumping into the opening.

But make sure the chocolate trap doesn't get your kids!

I hate those little buggers! It's impossible to "seal" your car.. they will get in. Most likely there is leftover food.. or simply warmth. The only thing you can do is deter them from getting in. Putting mint oil, or even dryer sheets around will deter them because of the smell. I had two get into my garage .. enough dryer sheets got them to stay away from the car... and eventually I had to poison them since they avoided every single one of my traps. Outdoors for the minivan I am diligent to keep food out of the back seat and floor.. and change those dryer sheets every month. It has remained rodent free. In the engine bay unless you put the dryer sheets on direct heat they will be fine! Afterall.. they are meant to be in the dryer

If it comes to that, Tootsie Rolls are best. They can be molded to the trigger, and the mice absolutely cannot resist them. Suggest putting something under the trap to avoid "stains", and check it often. Ew.
