Im asking a favor from someone with the full version of Carly app to test whether it can place a F48 AWD X1's (preferably a 2018 version) electronic parking brake into service mode. I'm going to do a rear brake job very soon and need confirmation as to whether the Carly app has this functionality before buying.

A few scan tools that can allegedly do this actually cant after testing them out.

I've not tried Carly's ebrake service mode feature on my x1. I've put my x3 ebrake into service mode manually using a star bit socket to turn ebrake screw into service mode, and no problems. This is how you can service manually.
I would safely assume you can do the same on x1 manually or by software

Thanks, ejw2011. You're assumption is correct about the X1, too. Theres a newtis service procedure on doing it manually. I'll do it manually as a last resort as I prefer to retract it via diagnostic tool first. Should be easier, quicker and less risk of me messing something up via scan tool option.
