I've physically done it, you don't need a service manual, the red/brown connector while tight just pulls out of the black housing with some coaxing, if you have large hand you might want to have someone in the house with smaller hands pull the connector, under all circumstances do NOT pull the via the wires.

Since this dash cam uses wires that are shared with auto headlight, rain sensor and sunroof motor. Will this create power problems for the rest or fry any of the other components on the same harness?

I have fitted one in the UK - all seems ok except that on both two 3-hour trips yesterday (the first big use) it stopped recordings after an hour - anyone else had any recording issues - or solutions?
