dim headlight halo

Hey everyone,
Wondering if anyone knows of any diy solutions for a dim halo in the headlight? (Pic below)

2020 x3 m40i - 3.5 yrs old and 97k kms, so out of warranty.

I found 1 YouTube vid with a similar problem for an x3 F25 (link below) and at least for those modules the light tube seems replaceable.

Fyi, having called parts at my local bmw dealer in Oakville (Canada) I was advised to have it looked at by service. Apparently if the fault is just with the light module its $330 (for part only) but if it's a problem with the assembly then it's $4300.

So yeah, am i SOL or is anyone aware of any DIY solutions?

I had the same with my G01 18 months or so ago. Dealer said the whole light assembly had to be replaced at a cost of over £2K (the lights are the 'adaptive' LED ones). Luckily I had a BMW extended warranty which covered it.

One thing: When you bring it into your dealer, ask them about any outstanding BMW Technical Service Bulletins around this issue. I'm sure there was a TSB mentioned when I originally had this. So, if you're lucky, it might be a known issue with this model which they will still fix under warranty even though yours has expired.

Good luck!
