Sport Mode Display

When I switch to sport mode, the screen display used to automatically switch to a dual gauge display. As of recent, in order to get that display, now I have to go into the menu, and manually select that option for it to display. I don’t remember changing any “auto” display settings. My question is how do I get it to display automatically again after switching to sport mode. Can’t seem to find it in the manual or the menu settings.

Thanks in advance.

It is a coincidence that we have similar needs for the display, but in my case I wish to see the reverse. I do not wish to see the Dual Guage that appears when I go into Sport mode.

Not a solution but a tip. Program one of the 1-8 buttons to go straight to the ”gague view”

Well your posts made me curious so I checked and played with the settings and now my sport display doesn't come up automatically anymore either LOL… Once I go to Sport mode, I have to select it manually. But I did discover that once I select it, it will stay displayed even if I go back to Comfort. I'll play with it some more.

In the idrive setting click pop up. You can check or uncheck there.

this is what I did as well. that way it stays on a particular view.

it's also a great way to toggle fast between "BMW maps" and "Phone/Carplay maps"

Yeah kudos for that. You still have to press display, but at least it takes you there once the sport mode button is pressed.

Oh!!

In the reverse situation, I do not have to do anything now! The display does not come into it. I just select Sport on the rocker switch and it goes onto Sport and displays "Sport" in the centre dash between the RPM gauge and the Speedometer.
