Critical Service Recommendations
Okay I’m consulting with the experts on this forum because the service department has me going insane….
They’re indicating two critical repairs needed: FLEX DISC (GUIBO) - $936.15 ENGINE GROUND STRAP - $482.65 LOWER CONTROL ARM WISHBONE BUSHINGS CRACKED - $1,257.39 From everything that I am able to find, a flex disc is only on rear wheel drive BMWs and therefore having an all wheel drive, this is not something that should be needed? The engine ground strap, any ideas as to how hard of a change this would be? I’m mechanically inclined but I’ve never dealt with one. If it’s something rather easy, I can do it myself. The lower control arm bushings…I’m arguing with the dealership I purchased it from about 36 days ago because in my mind, this should’ve been fixed prior to delivery. Does anybody have any feedback on the above issues? Please help! Thanks, Dave 2019 BMW X1 xDrive F48 77,777 miles 5L36756 |

Hi Dave, there is a flex disc in the rear of F48. You will find it at the front of HOC unit and differential.
