Mine's in the Works

My first post. I've just got the VIN for my xLine20D: Spec details attached.
I've been told delivery will be the end of December, so fingers crossed.

Hi and congratulations on your choice.
Could you tell me when you placed your order?
Hopefully I can work out when I might get mine!
Thanks

Order placed 16th November: Dealer says they have a number of pre-allocated build slots, which shouldn't be affected by the shortage of tail-lights, unlike ad hoc orders. We shall see!

Thanks for that.
I ordered mine on 30th October and have estimated delivery of mid December so that fits into a similar time frame.
Dealer hasn't given me a vin number though.

Mine's now showing a Production Date of 26/11/15. Not sure exactly what this signifies, though, as people in another thread have been given production dates and their cars are delayed...

Looks like the dealer submitted my order on 11/23 and it went into PROD on 11/26 (according to CA). I have a production number but it is still not registered on BMW's website. Will keep checking to see when it appears.

A bit discouraged because the dealer submitted the order without my final approval and I preferred a different style rim (566) than what was selected (589). Waiting to hear back from them on how they plan to rectify the issue.

Well, we only get once chance at life (unless you're a Buddhist ) so might as well enjoy it.

I suppose I might have got a bit carried away!
Still, the wife hasn't found out yet

If this turns out to be my last post, you'll know she just has.

Just had a call from the dealer saying the car is due with them Wk52/53, so if correct I should get early Jan.

There goes my early Christmas Present! (Bluezed's post had got my hopes up - his car has a production date the day before mine, and he's been told delivery 21/12/15).

BMRMAN76 - if you mean yours is coming with 569 rims don't despair. I think they look classy and different - and that's what my 2.0i X-line will have when it eventually arrives (currently 10 weeks overdue...)

I think you are both right. I didn't initially take to the 569's so ordered mine with 566's. Since then and seeing 569's in numerous pictures, they have grown on me. (They also look easier to keep clean!)

The trouble with waiting so long for deliveries is that you have too much time to keep going over your chosen spec.
I have been changing my mind on colour / wheels / interior and even the engine ever since I ordered it.

I've forgotten all about that now because I spoke to the dealer today and it will be with them late tomorrow and I should be able to collect it on Monday. Excited or what
