Right, fortunately for me I made some changes before hitting that point, and can still enjoy in moderation. But the escalating concerns about health as you get to mid-40’s+ are real. Earlier one can correct bad habits the better. Less damage done and less of a struggle to change when older. Easier said than done, of course.

Ill act like an adult for a second....all my life I ate and drank anything and everything I wanted. My metabolism was high and I never gained weight or had any ailments.
Fast forward to 45 years old (2019)
-High blood pressure that they can't get to a stable safe number. 4 pills a day
-Bone on bone, knee and hip joint. Likely needing replacement from 20 yrs of BMX
-Gained 15 pounds during COVID that I can't lose b/c I can't excercise b/c of above injury
-Overall just feel like sh!t about myself.

Just be careful, I never thought I would feel like this but it truly happened over night and taking care of myself probably would have reduced much of it

😭😭😭😭 WTF. Arnt those replacements expensive? OUCH. Oh no they as in the medical people? I dont like big pharma since i was a kid hated the doctors. Were you buff and lean tho?

You should be ok for a while, but do yourself a favor and see a good primary care physician every year and follow their advice. I used to eat a ton of fast food and developed bad eating habits for a long time (and still have some). Those bad habits make it tougher to eat better when you get older. Moderation is a good thing.

Anyway this all started when I responded to your question about everyone eating burgers. Didn’t mean to turn it into a healthcare or lecture thread. We can get back on topic.

I'm still in the 3rd opinion stage. Hopefully all but my deductible will be covered, but even that is $5k.

I HATE having to take pills. Let me tell you, my BP was to the ceiling and I felt fine. Like nothing was wrong....It's scary! I check it every day, sometimes twice.

I was in good shape. I hated the gym, but I had awesome legs, good upper body and trim. Def not a Jersey shore meathead though

Yeah i go sometimes. I have a doctor and hes chill. I do at least 28,000 steps a day and go gym every other day. I try to eat in a time frame so the rest of the day it digest
